Site Context
The site is approximately 2.3 hectares of open grassland located on the western side of Rickmansworth Road (A404), at the northern boundary of the London Borough of Hillingdon.
The site is well contained by existing development and landscape features on three sides: residential properties to the north and south-east; Mount Vernon Hospital and its car park to the south; and mature woodland and White Hill to the west. Rickmansworth Road runs along the eastern boundary.
The London Borough of Hillingdon has a significant and growing need for new homes, including affordable housing. National planning policy, set out in the National Planning Policy Framework, requires local planning authorities to boost the supply of housing and support sustainable development.
